I am very aware of the overall inability of the medical system to respond to your need for answers.  It is critical that you have a central medical provider to help you coordinate your journey back to full health. I find when I am in that role it is one of the most rewarding aspects of my practice.  However, I am also a surgeon performing complex spinal surgery.  My capacity to take on that role is limited.  I have worked very hard with Swedish Medical center to develop the resources to assist you.  I am available only through referral doctors that I regularly work with.  The Swedish Spine Center will evaluate and treat you.  They also only work in concert with a referring physician.  If the Spine Center wishes to have me or one of my partners do a surgical consultation, we are happy to do so.

The contact information for our Swedish Spine program is as follows.

What to expect

A registered nurse will serve as your care coordinator. He or she determines which type of provider is most qualified to manage and treat your particular condition, and arranges for an evaluation with the appropriate expert. Your care coordinator then assists you with scheduling any testing and treatment, as well as follow-up care.

The goal of this website is for you to take charge of your own care by learning the outlined treatment strategies.  You then can partner with your primary care physician to help implement your plan.  Swedish Spine Center along with surgical support can provide support for your primary care physician.  Taking back control of your life happens by learning tools that you will use the rest of your life.  We look forward to helping you devise and support your process.
